Welcome to Thunder Over Louisville, featuring one of the nation’s top air shows and one of the largest annual fireworks shows in the country!

Thunder helps kick-off the 2023 Kentucky Derby Festival.  After dark, prepare for the Thunder as the 34th annual pyrotechnic spectacular explodes to a sensational soundtrack in front of hundreds of thousands of our friends that come in from all across the country.

This year’s event, set for this Saturday, April 22, will include a packed air show, with non-stop military and civilian air acts.

Scheduled performances include: The U.S. Air Force F-35 Demo and Heritage Flight, Navy F-35 Demo and Growler Demo with Legacy Flight, U.S. Army Golden Knights, Matt Younkin’s “Magic by Moonlight” performance, as well as numerous warbirds taking to the skies, including the P-51 Mustang, F-86 Sabre, F4U Corsair and F8F Bearcat.
