TARC ANNOUNCES BUS ROUTES FOR THUNDER

Avoid the traffic and parking hassle...Take TARC to Thunder Over Louisville
Thunder is starting to rumble, and TARC is ready. Expanded bus service will be provided for Thunder Over Louisville on Saturday, April 17. Beginning at 4 p.m., buses will be added to 13 routes that provide regularly scheduled service into downtown Louisville. Following the fireworks, TARC buses will provide continuous service from downtown Louisville on the following routes:
#2-Second Street (to River Falls Mall in Clarksville, Indiana)
#4-Fourth Street #23-Broadway
#6-Sixth Street #31-Middletown
#15-Market Street #43-Poplar Level Road/Portland
#17-Bardstown Road #55-Westport Road
#18-Preston/18th Street #63-Crums Lane
#19-Muhammad Ali Blvd.
#21 Chestnut Street
Additional buses will also be provided on the #71-Jeffersonville Shuttle between Capitol Hill and Court and Spring in downtown Jeffersonville. Following the fireworks, the boarding locations are as follows:
- Route #: 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 23, 31, 43, 55
- Direction: Eastbound
Boarding Location: On Market east of 1st Street- Route #: 15, 18, 19, 21, 23, 43
- Direction: Westbound
- Boarding location: On Main west of 9th Street
- Route #: 4, 6, 63
- Direction: Southbound
- Boarding location: On 6th Street south of Liberty
- Route #: 2
- Direction: Northbound & Southbound
- Boarding location: On Market Street east of 1st Street
- Route #: 71
- Direction: Northbound to Capitol Hill
- Boarding Location: Court & Spring St.
- Direction: Eastbound
Regular Saturday fares will be in effect: $.75 cash or a $.50 Fare$aver ticket. Transfers are free, and discounted fares for seniors, students and citizens with disabilities with TARC IDs will apply.
