Fox 41 PRESENTS A MOTORCYLE RALLY TO SUPPORT THUNDER
WDRB to produce fund-raising event on Nov. 8

Oct. 15, 2003 - LOUISVILLE, KY   - The Kentucky Derby Festival is pleased to announce that WDRB TV will produce "Thunder Into Louisville" - a motorcycle rally on Nov. 8 to raise funds for the 2004 Thunder Over Louisville, the Derby Festival's Opening Ceremonies. The motorcycle "Poker Run," which will include five stops, will begin at the Louisville Harley Davidson dealership at 1700 Arthur Street and end at Churchill Downs.

Said WDRB General Manager Bill Lamb: "We wanted to do something to show our station's support of Thunder Over Louisville and have fun at the same time.  As a Harley rider myself, I know we're always looking for a good poker run, and this one will be outstanding!"

"We are so very appreciative that WDRB came to us with this great fund-raising event for Thunder Over Louisville," said Mike Berry, Derby Festival President and CEO. "It really means a lot that a local organization is willing to step forward of their own initiative to help out the Derby Festival. Producing Thunder is a very expensive challenge and we gladly welcome the support of any community group that would like to help."
