F-22 RAPTOR DEMONSTRATION TEAM TO PERFORM AT THUNDER OVER LOUISVILLE
2009-04-08The United States Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team is scheduled to perform at the Thunder over Louisville air show on Saturday, April 18 and will be in the local area and available for interviews April 15 - 18.
The F-22 Raptor demonstration is a single-ship performance of precision aerial maneuvers to show the unique capabilities of the world's only operational fifth-generation fighter aircraft.
The F-22 Raptor is the Air Force's newest fighter aircraft. Its combination of stealth, supercruise, maneuverability and integrated avionics, coupled with improved supportability, represents an exponential leap in warfighting capabilities. The Raptor performs both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions allowing full realization of operational concepts vital to the 21st century Air Force.
