DERBY FESTIVAL HAS A NEW SMARTPHONE APP
2011-04-11The Kentucky Derby Festival is pleased to announce the launch of its NEW SMARTPHONE APP for the 2011 Festival. Derby Festival fans with a SmartPhone can download the new 2011 Derby Festival App from the iTunes Store or Droid Marketplace.
Customers will be able to personalize their KDF experience by clicking on their favorite events and adding them to a section called "My SuperFest." Just go to that screen for a list of events that you're interested in. The app allows users to locate and map the Festival events, as well as provides dates and time information for each event. Photos and videos can also be uploaded.
"This app is a way for us to connect with Festival fans and get them the event information they need at their fingertips," said Mike Berry, Kentucky Derby Festival President and CEO. "As a new SmartPhone user, myself, I'm learning how useful and convenient apps can be. Now, if you need to find a Derby Festival event - there's an app for that."
The application was developed by the Festival's advertising agency - CurrentMarketing, Inc. The app is FREE to download!
