Worse than Friday rush hour, Thunder traffic is simply an unavoidable result of putting 500,000 people in the same place. If you don't plan on staying and listening to the live music on stage at the Waterfront Park Chow Wagon until 11 pm, then you will most likely be trying to leave the downtown area immediately after the fireworks at 10.
