LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION

Former broadcaster, Dan Miller said it best "there's no better place to see Thunder than right in the middle of it". Referring to televised coverage, "It's a real challenge to make 30 minutes of fireworks visually interesting in a 4 x 5 box when the real show is filling an entire sky."
Thunder fans would agree that to fully appreciate the show, you must be in the "eye of the storm." But what if you can't make it this year or just don't feel like fighting the crowds (and you've seen the size this show attracts). Luckily for you, one local television station and a local radio station have rolled out the red carpet and cameras to bring the Derby Festival Opening Ceremonies: Thunder Over Louisville right into your living room.
Local affiliates, WDRB and Lite 106.9 WVEZ radio have the exclusive media rights to air complete broadcast coverage of Thunder Over Louisville in 2011. The multi-hour coverage includes the day-long air show and night time fireworks extravaganza.
